Why us

You never accepted the default on anything that mattered — except, quietly, your digital life.

Every serious organization protects itself. The people with the most at stake — whether they run an institution or simply have a great deal to lose — run their personal digital lives on whatever their apps and devices came set to. Personal Cyber Shield closes that gap: one senior expert, in person, protecting you the way an organization protects itself.

In person · With you present · No remote access · No cloud processing · No retained logs

A note from Dr. Tabansky

Why I built this.

For two decades I advised governments and investors on cybersecurity — across Israel, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Again and again I saw the same gap: the institution was defended, and the person was not.

The people who need this most are rarely institutions. They are individuals whose lives have turned adversarial — a separation or divorce, before it escalates; a founder breakup or partner dispute, where personal exposure becomes commercial leverage; an inheritance or estate conflict, where people who once had your trust still have access; someone leaving a controlling relationship; someone who senses another party knows something that should have stayed private. A company has an IT department and a security team. A person in the middle of one of these has no one.

And it isn't for lack of standards. These are people who would never drive an unvetted car or accept a table they hadn't chosen — yet their digital lives run on the same factory settings as everyone else's: the accounts, devices, apps, and online trails a life quietly accumulates. Not because they didn't care, but because no one had ever shown them what was exposed, and no one's job was to close it.

That is a market failure. Real personal protection doesn't scale — it depends on bespoke, hands-on work and on trust, the two things mass-market security can't manufacture. So the people who need it most have been left to handle it alone.

I decided to serve them directly. One person, in your presence, with the standard an organization applies to itself — reviewing what your own digital life reveals and closing what can be closed, in person, at your pace.

Who does the work

One person, start to finish.

Personal Cyber Shield is private-client cyber protection: one senior expert, not a team. The same person handles your engagement from the first assessment to the final handover — Dr. Lior Tabansky, personally. Not handed off to a subcontractor.

He has spent two decades advising governments and investors on cybersecurity, and is co-author of Cybersecurity in Israel (Springer, with Maj. Gen. Isaac Ben-Israel). His full professional record — research, academic positions, and media — is public, so you can verify it yourself.

Why in person

Done in person, with you present.

Most security help is remote. Someone connects from another place, changes settings you can't see, and often leaves a way back in. The moment anyone holds remote access to your device — even to help you — your privacy already depends on them.

Here it is the opposite. The work is done in front of you, on your devices, on your timeline. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is kept, and no record of your digital life leaves the room. What changes, you watch change.

What this is — and isn't

Judgment, not a checklist. Protection, not investigation.

Your whole digital environment is hard to see from the inside: the exposure that matters may sit across devices, accounts, apps, settings, recovery paths, and old habits — and which of those matters depends entirely on your situation. That is interpretation under pressure, not a list anyone can run.

This is not IT support, and it is not investigation. To be clear about the boundaries:

  • We don't reach anyone else, and we don't investigate the other side.
  • We don't reconstruct the past or produce evidence.
  • We don't give legal advice — we work alongside your lawyer and advisors, not in place of them.

By appointment

A small practice, on purpose.

Dr. Tabansky takes a limited number of clients, by appointment. Most engagements begin the same way — with a Private Exposure Assessment: a private, in-person diagnostic that tells you what's exposed, what's most urgent, and what to do next.

Questions
Who actually does the work?

Dr. Lior Tabansky — personally and in person, from the first assessment to the final handover.

Is this just expensive IT support?

No. It's senior judgment applied to your personal digital exposure, before it can become leverage.
